Mila Launches new Postmaster TS008 Slim Letterplate from Yale
Mila is proud to announce they have added Yale’s new Postmaster TS008 Slim Letterplate to their range – one of the slimmest TS008 letterplates on the market – whilst remaining FD30 and FD60 compliant when tested as a door set
The new Yale Postmaster TS008 Slim Letterplate has been meticulously engineered to meet the highest industry standards of performance and can help assist fabricators in achieving PAS24 compliancy. Having proven to protect against a range of attack methods, including letterplate ‘fishing’, whereby keys can be removed from a property via a letterplate. It also conforms to the building regulations Approved Document Q, guaranteeing enhanced security standards and providing the ultimate peace of mind.
The Barrier Protection system features dual side-plate shields that automatically extend when the internal flap is opened, offering additional security by blocking external access to the thumb turn or key. This, combined with CombShield defence technology, obstructs the view through the letterplate and prevents attackers from visually determining the position of items inside the home.
Now in stock at Mila, and available in 10 different colour options, the letterplate is completely weather sealed to provide optimal protection against the elements. For long-lasting durability, Austenitic 304 stainless steel is used on the external flap, ensuring ultimate corrosion resistance.
To facilitate easy installation of the letterplate, a specially designed final-fixing fastener has been developed and as few as 4 x M4 screws required. The screw pin can be easily inserted during the final steps of installation and thanks to its to its innovative design and stainless-steel material, ensures quiet operation and enhanced durability. An adjustable channel can easily accommodate for door thicknesses ranging from 44mm to 63mm, by either lowering or raising the channel.
Yale’s Postmaster TS008 Slim Letterplate has been rigorously tested to 20,000 operational cycles – the equivalent of 54 years based on once-a-day usage – ensuring long-term reliability. It is protected by Yale's 10-year Mechanical Guarantee and a 25-year Surface Finish Guarantee for added confidence in performance and durability.
